Sometimes I like to break the rules. You know, like that rule that says you have to let your circle skirt hang, wait for the bias to stretch out, even it again, and then hem it. Well, I started along those lines with this stretch version of the Veronika skirt (don’t worry, the free pattern will be available soon—we are just about to start testing!). I left the hem raw, washed it a few times, and once it had stretched out, I noticed it had done so in a really cool way. I did not want to change it. I am actually rather enamoured with that uneven, rough hemline. I think it really suits the fabric, and I’m going to keep it. Rebel.
And on the topic of this fabric—how cool is it? It’s like bokeh and twigs, and I don’t know what else, but it’s awesome. I kind of want to make a zillion outfits out of it. It’s available in store now if you’d like to snap up some of your own before I go ahead and use it all myself, hehe. I seriously cannot wait to get this pattern to you gals!!
