Summer has arrived in Australia, and I’m thrilled! After a winter filled with family illnesses, I’m eagerly anticipating sunny, warm, and healthy days ahead.
This year, my wardrobe essentials are the Cascade skirt and Briar crop top. As a busy parent with a nursing baby and two kids, this outfit perfectly blends style and convenience. I must admit, when I first designed the Briar pattern, I never imagined it would be such an excellent top for breastfeeding. Maintaining my personal style during pregnancy and nursing is important to me, so I’m delighted that one of my favorite designs works so perfectly for this stage. Happy dance? Absolutely! Now, about this skirt! This particular Cascade is one of the first samples I made while designing the pattern. Initially, I wasn’t sure I’d keep it for myself—I already own several! But I find myself wearing it so often that I’m very glad I did. The print is fantastic; I adore a cool print. My next goal is to make a jersey knit Cascade skirt, inspired by the amazing versions I’ve seen others create.
